About the Wingspan Air Logo  >>

The logo for the Wingspan Air Heritage Foundation has several meanings, some of which pertain to Arizona, where the organization as founded.

The Propeller - The prop represents one from our first aircraft received, a Beechcraft, former U.S. Navy SNB-5.

The Eagle Feathers - The Southwestern United States is rich in Native American Culture , as are many parts of the country, & parts of Canada (Arizona has 21 recognized tribes). In many of the Native American cultures, the feather of the Eagle sacred, and to be given an Eagle Feather is considered an honor. Our Nation’s bird is also the Eagle. So the feathers represent a reverence. Both the propeller and the feathers also represent flight.
